Blog: G is for Gratitude

Gratitude exists in our personal and professional lives.  It can transform a normal, common day into one that becomes very special.  Ideally, the expression of gratitude makes both parties in an interaction smile from ear to ear.  Whether it’s a simple “thank you,” “I appreciate you,” to “I can’t begin to thank you enough,” “I am deeply grateful for your support,”—sincerely delivering this message brings a deeper appreciation, respect and meaning to each interaction and relationship.

Being on the receiving end of an expression of gratitude feels pretty nice too.  In fact, looking back on one of my first client relationships at Cetane—this particular owner had everything buttoned down.  From financials to customer records to compliance, he had it all nailed down.  I told him, “I really appreciate the organization and quality of information you’ve provided.  This will make every step of the sale process go much smoother.  It shows well and speaks to the quality of your business.”  You would have thought I just told him he won the lottery!  He was so grateful that someone appreciated the dedication he had for keeping his house in order.  After we got to the finish line on his successful transaction, he rewarded me with his own expression of gratitude.  He told me, “I really appreciate everything you’ve done—I couldn’t have done this without you.”

The presence of gratitude enriches the culture of the workplace and turns a routine family event into a special occasion.  Spend as much of your life as you can immersed in an environment that is filled with gratitude.  It’s good for the soul.

We were very pleased to have such a knowledgeable and experienced company in our corner with the team at Cetane. It was obvious that they knew the best process and how to get the ball over the goal line. Their advice throughout the process was greatly appreciated and we thoroughly enjoyed working with them.
